Shifting Policy & Practice: Increasing Student Access to State & Institutional Aid in Michigan

This year, the TICAS Michigan Student Advocacy Fellows advocated to remove barriers to access to state and institutional aid for Michigan students pursuing higher education. As part of this work, the fellows conducted a survey and interviews to better understand how students and practitioners learn about and access state and institutional resources. Our new report, authored by the fellows, contains a summary of their findings, promising policies from other states, and recommendations for Michigan to streamline access to existing resources.
