TICAS Submits Letter on College Cost Transparency to Senate HELP Committee

[ad_1]

On October 24, TICAS submitted a letter responding to Senate HELP Committee Chair Bill Cassidy’s request for information on improving transparency in higher education costs. We expressed our support for a suite of bipartisan bills that would help students and families better understand and manage college costs, including the College Transparency Act, the Understanding the True Cost of College Act, the Know Before You Owe Federal Student Loan Act, and the Net Price Calculator Improvement Act

Together, these legislative proposals represent meaningful, bipartisan steps toward ensuring that students and families have the clear, accurate, and accessible information they need to navigate college costs and borrowing decisions. Strengthening transparency in higher education will improve affordability and help students make choices that set them on a path toward long-term success.
